Things really seem to be taking off this year, I have just last night recieved another movie script to read through so I can see the characters and choose which one I would (hopefully) audition for....
The movie has funding and is filming in the West by a Western Production House - so proper pay and conditions, residuals and all the good things that come to Actors that can make it to the big league. I have just started reading the script and at this stage I do not know which character I think would be most suitable for myself by the rough breakdown provided by my agent is enough to get us both thinking that there is definitely a part for me to play. I think it is safe to say that the movie is a near future post apocalyptic setting, and to cut off wild conjecture no it is not Mad Max 5 (or at least I don't think it is). That is something else I will have to chase up very, very soon. Having the script means that I am in the running for a part, it is neither here nor there until castings are done and contracts signed BUT it is a good sign, a very good sign. The fact that I am now in the running for speaking roles in good budget Western films shows that I am getting more credability within the industry and that my career is advancing - and that is the most important thing. Not whether I get a part but whether I am going forward. I'll let you all know as soon as there is any news, it'll probably be several months away at earliest but the budget is there and locations are set so it is only a matter of time.
