Running An Interstitual Ads Test |

Over the next month my site will be running full page ads between pages, say you read an article see another you like and want to read it then an ad will display.
I am sorry to do this as personally I do not like this form af advertising but I do understand that to write 1000's of pages requires a lot of time and I myself, like many others, like to get paid something for their time.
Also I want to see how much money this can generate and see how it affects my readership stats....
Even if I do not personally like something it may present a small annoyance to the majority of readers (all advertising is a small annoyance to some people, it may turn out to be so profitable that I have to keep running it.
Since the advertising, eBook sales and Video library membership are the only current form of regular income I have had now for 3 years it is important for me to grow that income. More importantly as I rely on this income solely at the moment and with the problems the site had last month running out of memory I have lost a good deal of that income, leaving me with enough this month to lead a very bare existence.
Luckily I have been working and other things are progressing now since the Bangkok Adrenaline (and Som Tam) movie came out and I will be able to supplement this income hopefully with some sponsorship deals.
If the Interstitual Ads work but my readership drops off I will consider placing the Ads only on the video section and making the video library free but supported by Ads. This is something I do feel comfortable doing, but again how I feel is not a reflection of how the readers feel.
I'll let this run for a month and see how much it makes, and how it affects my readership stats.
