"Reduced Fat Formula Tuna Chunks In Vegetable Oil" it is what it says right on the can of Tuna I saw at the supermarket the other day.
I mean seriously who are they trying to fool? Is the general public that stupid?
If you want reduced fat Tuna Chunks then get Tuna in Brine or Tuna in springwater.
Tuna is naturally low in fat, extremely low in fat to be precise and the little fat present are all good fish oils anyway so you want to ingest them. Tuna is the lowest fat content animal meat commonly available, except of course when they drown it in cheap commercial oils.
How the F can you have reduced fat when you then go and fill the can in cheap oil?
Maybe they are referring to the correct naming terminologies whereby fat is a solidified lipid and oil is a liquid lipid. Therefore they can claim that thier Tuna has less solidified lipids. I do not think this would hold up in the West in a consumer claims tribunal though.

Ayam is not a Thai brand it is an international brand that is also quite prevalent in Australia.
Just another example of don't believe anything you read.
