A 'wrap' is the end of film shooting - I have no idea where this term originated from.
Though you most often here this after the Director has summoned you in the middle of a cold raining night to come to the set right now, so you m=wake up and trot down there at full speed (time is very important on set) and when you arrive you get your makeup checked (even if it is just dirt smears) and then the Director will say something like "It's a wrap!" and look at you and laugh. Gee thanks, it is a good feeling to get to that point though
