This video shows the preparation for a high fall stunt done without wires, that is without wires for special effects and without wires for safety - that's right no safety harness.

In stunt work 'wires' are often used either for safety or to give added effect, for example when someone is hit and they go flying backwards.
Often these days it is overly used to the point where the fights look incredibly fake, that comes to the Stunt Co-ordinator and the Director to work together to get things looking realistic for that scene.
Working with 2 such experienced professionals this is a test run...

For those regular readers you will remember a few months ago I sat in the back of a Jeep while it plunged through a wall?
Well I have now found out who and what the TVC was for and who the girl I was talking to onset was - Natassia Malthe - at the time of filming we had no idea who she was....

Ray Huber, creative mind behind the whole Bangkok Adrenaline movie is now in France at the Cannes Film Festival to show the Bangkok Adrenaline movie. For this prestigious event there were some changes to the original edit and some additional footage added.
Watch it below and compare it to the original Bangkok Adrenaline Trailer

Another fight sequence from the rehearsals in the hall prior to the filming of Bangkok Adrenaline, featuring Daniel O'Neill and Gwion.
The blonde headed muscular guy that appears a few times is Australian Stuntman Marky Lee who also acted as assistant Stunt Co-ordinator on the film between flying up to Chang Mai to work on Rambo IV.

A couple of guys from the Motion Pictures Stunt Team, previously called the Bangkok Adrenaline Stunt Team, have put together a short showreel of their fighting abilities.
In this video Timman and Anis Cheurfa get into it, with a guest appearance by Newik. In case you don't know Timman and Anis are well known in the world of "tricking", and Timman has built quite a well known name for himself in his martial arts niche.
I can safely say that Bangkok is currently home to some of the best in the world in terms of movie martial artists and tricksters.
Recent developments in the Bangkok Adrenaline saga seem to be pointing very favourably towards us getting some reshoot time to finish the project as an International film, and this will hopefully include a day of Parcour - the free style street running/gymanstics that will bear out my above assertation.

A Partial Body Burn is a Stuntman term for setting fire to a stuntmans body in a controlled and hopefully safe way.
It varies from a full body burn in that the fire is only applied to a part of the body, in this case my arm.
Care must be taken though in non-actors union countries as to start with they were also trying to set fire to the vinyl apron I was wearing. Upon showing them that toxic fumes would be going into my face and hte whole apron would melt into my skin and go up in flames within about 5 - 10 seconds they were unconvinced.
Upon flatly refusing to have the plastic apron set on fire while I wore it, then it was agreed that it would only be an arm burn with acceptable leather gloves and internationally acceptable safety measures, like flame retardand.

Here is the Ian Erix music video that we shot in a Soi Cowboy Go-Go Bar last year in the final edit my part is very small but I was there for quiet a few hours that day.
Truth be told that would have to make me one of the very few foreigners who have ever walked out of a Go-Go bar with more money than he went in with.

I have some footage I am editing tonight that I will put up tomorrow in the videos section for subscribers.
One is some behind the scenes stunt video and the other is a quick attempt at the start of training videos, with any luck I might even get a third cooking video up (? - yep a new idea -Cooking With Conan).
Over the next three months I am going to try to get the videos section a lot more active to give more value to my subscribers.
*UPDATE: having issues with my video editing software, will be updating it next week.
Thanks for your support :)

Joey and Jon interview the producer/director/actor behind the whole Bangkok Adrenaline idea - Ray Huber and action star Daniel O'Neill, also at the interview is Thai pop starlet May who also appears in the movie.
Don't know who Joey and Jon are? Neither do I but they seem to have travelled through Thailand sort of as a made for web travel show.
Where was I? I was in Pattaya doing some paid work and only made the Film Festival on the last day.

Two new videos displaying some of the pre-shooting fight rehearsals with Gwion and Daniel - none of these sequences were latrer used in the movie but you can see the training that went into the final movie
The footage is of Gwion and Daniel practising with some Thai stuntmen and working out hte moves that they will incorporate into the final fight scenes, also working closely with them, and operating the camera is fight choreographer Ron Smoorenburg.
Ron would make clips like this from the practise fights to show the Producers and Investors of what he conceptualised the fight scenes to look like in a rough pre-edit. I like Ron's work and so did the Director and Producers

The Sci Fi Trailer we filmed way back July 2006 is finally available. Well to tell the truth it was available ages ago but I transferred the files to a faulty memory card and lost them and the Director, Martin Landsburg, was away in Europe until recently.
Having caught up with him yesterday I was able to gain copies of the still unfinished trailers in their current demo forms. Their? Forms? Multiples?
Yes. 2 seperate trailers made from the same footage with remarkably differing results.
As per the original email from Martin:
The story is simple: A female cyborg, a member of the resistance, is trapped in a dungeon-esque highrise building, being pursued by government forces. She’s trying to find her way out without getting caught, but she has been badly damaged. Due to the damage in her circuitry, she can barely walk and has some hallucinations. Eventually she finds her way out into desolate wasteland...

As written about yesterday I will be appearing in the 2007 season of Berlin by Sydney Dance Company. Then last night having need for a new showreel I have been transferring everything I have on DVD to digital files on my laptop and I found this trailer which I have previously never seen.
In the trailer you only see me in the background a little as to be honest I am not the hottest dancer, well not compared to the Sydney Dance Coompany dancers who have spent their entire lives dedicated to dance. But you will get a good idea of what Berlin is like.
Being a modern dance piece by Graeme Murphy it will be unlike any Ballet you have ever seen before...
