I have just finished changing the layout of the site, I hope you find it easier to navigate.
There is also an ulterior reason for this change - Googles' Adsense program
Previously my earnings with Google Adsense were growing at a rate that looked like it would pay my monthly rent on my flat (yes I pay but little rent)....

... but recently that seems to have gone out the window. If it continues at the current rate I'll be luck to be able to purchase a large Chang beer at the 7/11 every week with my Google Money.
I put this down to several factors, my website now is rather diverse, with bodybuilding, wrestling and acting featuring heavily.
When I first started writing this there was mainly acting and the google ads were mainly acting ads. Now I am getting bodybuilding ads through my acting articles and acting ads in my wrestling photos.
I would like google to display ads that are relevant to the article.
As such I have changed the layout so you click on acting and most of the links on the page (which googlebot also reads) will have acting references, the same with bodybuilding and with wrestling.
This should help google work out exactly what I am talking about on each page, and help my earning climb back up.
I have spent the last several weeks optimising the site - if you care to put your mouse over any of the links you should see a nice easy to read and very descriptive name for each article. This helps google index my pages properly.
Except that my google daily visitors have dropped from 70 per day to 35 per day. I did something wrong.
I am hoping making my site seem more relevant to each article that Google will once again rate me better and send me more visitors and more adsense money.

Since the reorganisation of my site and the subsequent re-indexing of my site my google visitors each day has now jumped to over 200 and the ads seem more relevant to the content.
The other option I experimented with briefly was to organise each section into a subdomain - ie if you click the success link in the main menu across the top of the page it takes you to a Wordpress site at www.personaldevelopment.conanstevens.com. I will continue experimenting with this sub-domain for a while and see how it pans out. If all is well I might consider moving all the sections into subdomains.
The other problem I am experiencing now is my PPC earnings, at the start I was getting clicks from 20c to $1.20 but now they are sitting at the much lower rates of 1c to 20c. This is highly disconcerting.
With the changes I have gained in traffic (total has gone from 150 a day with work to 380 a day passive) I should be making a nice income if the pay rates had stayed the same.
I have since read a little about Googles Smartpricing and and doing my best to read everything I can about the Pay Per Click subject in an effort to regain those lost earnings. I will post again later when I figure out what the heck went wrong.
