Today I met in Sukhumvit Soi 3 with Ray (Bangkok Adrenaline Director) and Ron (Bangkok Adrenaline Action Director) for a movie casting for a Japanese movie. Upon arrival we met Denji - whom I wrestle with in Bangkok Adrenaline at the beginning of the movie.

The Som Tam movie trailer is finally out, the movie hits Thai cinemas on the 29th May 2008 - Finally 1 decent movie I have done makes it to the big screen in Thailand.

Just got a call from Ray from Motion Pictures - seems he sent of a bunch of photos to a Japanese movie casting and they have picked 4 gus that they want to see, and I am one of them...

Yes I have accepted the role as Bison's Bodyguard in the US movie Streetfighter 2 based on the smash hit 80's video game of the same name.
At the moment this is about all I can say but once filming starts I'll have some more interesting information.

So who does pay the Hitman?
Well it probably depends upon which movie it is. I seem to be getting a few Hitman role offers recently, makes a nice change from the previous Bodyguard roles though - they tend to be smaller parts (usually).
In the current Warner Brothers Indian movie Chandni Chowk To China I guess it would be my boss Hojo who pays me, but what if there was a new movie titled Who Pay's The Hitman....

I managed to get hold of one of the Som Tam movie posters photos used at the Som Tam movie's publicity launch the other day.

I was told there were to be 3 different movie posters to be used, one of which is to feature myself and Nathan Jones fighting. Let's wait and see.
But I do hope the movie is heavily promoted both in and out of cinemas, it'll be a bit of a thrill to se myself on 20 foot high billboards and probably shock the heck out of a few cab drivers as the realise the bloke in the back is the one and the same.

I found these scans of these promotional flyers from the 2006 Cannes Film festival for Power Kids, the movie that got me to move to Thailand.
2006 and it is now half way through 2008, what the heck is happening? I really hope that Baa Ram Ewe gets it together soon and releases the Powerkids movie soon. It is only a small part for me but add it to the other 3 movie releases featuring me prominantly and it'll change my status in Thailand and give me an additional bargaining chip when I negotiate for money...

Today the Baa Ram Ewe movie studios FINALLY launched the Som Tam movie wherein I fight with Nathan Jones filming finished quite awhile ago, but it is good to see one of the Thai movies I have done coming out in cinema here.
Today was the publicity launch at the Central World Cinema complex.....

Friend and Bangkok based stuntman makes it big time!
Jon Foo, previously resident in Bangkok for several years and well known personality has been cast in a new large budget US film that all martial arts action movie fans will know - Tekken 2
Tekken 2 is now cast and rumoured to be up against some very strong and well known competition for the role it is now known that Jon Foo has the starring role....

Yesterday I recieved several calls in a lead up to the final call - for an audition in the new Streetfighter 2 movie.
First up Erik, a fellow Bangkok based stuntman called me up and told me there was a part going that required a very large stuntman, I would be recieving a call.
Several minutes later I got a call from Seng from Seng Stunts whom I worked with on Bodyguard 2. He tells me officially the same thing and that he was passing my number over to the Streetfighter 2 casting people....

Chandni Chowk To China is the title of the Indian movie that I auditioned for a month ago. Natually I got the part, the Henchman to the main bad guy in the movie with a decent role and decent exposure.
More importantly for me this is a Warner Brothers movie. In fact it is Warner Brothers first Indian production, in an effort to break into the huge and growing Indian movie market. As such it follows the recent trend of modern Indian movies in being a departure from the classic style of singing and dancing movies.
Add in Akshay Kumar, one of India's most popular and talented Actors, an extremely talented Honk Kong Stunt Team lead by and Action directed by Dee Dee (Kill Bill 1&2, Lethal Weapon 4 + MORE) a mix of comedy and outlandinsh situations and you get....

Today I was formally 'interviewed' for the Indian movie and have been offered the role, of course it is a negative role (bad guy) and I am very pleased to be offered the job.
Financial negotiations are now underway - when these are sorted we can do the contract and I will write all that is I am allowed to write.
For now I will say that the movie also features Kumar - which one? Well I won't say just yet... :)

As per usual in the East I recieved last minute notice (yesterday) of a casting (audition) for a new Indian movie being filmed in Bangkok and China.
The role was described to me as a main support - oohhhhh!!!! Nice.
