I am no longer a member of Amway but I want to thank them.
Amway introduced me to Napoleon Hills book "Think and Grow Rich" with a cheesy title and cheesier cover art I barely managed to open the book, but I promised my sponsor that I would at least read the first chapter.
What a change to my life this book brought. Without this Think And Grow Rich I would not be writting this blog today....
Amway introduced me to the power of positive thinking. If you think
the correct way then good things come to you. If you think the wrong
way then bad things always seem to happen. I have seen this in my own
life. As the Amway saying goes what you look for in a gold mine determines what you find, if you look for Gold you'll find it, but if all you're looking for is dirt then that is what you'll find
This book was written in the early 1900's when Napoleon Hill was assigneda task by Steel Magnate, and one of the richest men in the world Andrew Carnegie. Andrew Carnegie had started out working in one of the steel mills he now owned. He set Napoleon Hill the task of studying the most successful men in the world and finding out what sets them apart.
Napoleon Hills book "Think and Grow Rich" goes into the hows and whys of the habits of the most successful men of the time. After reading this book my entire life turned around, I realised I was a product of my thinking and my (bad) habits to that point.
Subconsciously I was setting myself up for failure time and again but I could not see it before it was pointed out to me by Napoleon Hills book "Think and Grow Rich"
After reading Think and Grow Rich my life outlook became so bright i remember telling a mate "It is like I am in a rocket ship and we have been on the ground in this thick mist but now I have taken off just a few feet I see the mist only covers the ground, as I get higher I can see so clearly now"
I became phenomenally successful with women, and (because) my attitude became so good, I made new friends and I enjoyed my work more.
That initial spurt of energy eventually faded but I continued to gain my daily motivation reading books, going to seminars and/or listening to audio tapes EVERY DAY.
Now I look back almost 20 years and see that maybe I was a slow learner but I would not change any of it, I am who I am, I am successful and very soon I will be financially free from money worries ever again.
My advise - Read books, go to educational seminars and listen to audio from successful people.
If you do not know what to do with your life or you cannot see a way out of your current situation then just go along to a local Amway meeting and talk to a few different people - find one you connect with. Don't judge the organisation from one person you have met, I know quite a few car salesmen, some or very nice people, some even though they are friends I personally would not buy a car from them.
I also highly recommend reading Think And Grow Rich as your do now start point
