Fantastic - the Lip Magazine photo shoot casting I went for yesterday and got (read previous post about the used underwear incident) was shot today.
So here I am standing in a pair of shorts with a Ladyboy (Kateoy) rubbing me up with fake tan and oil, while the (probably) gay photographer looks on and I stand there in a rubber Gimp Mask - welcome to fashion photography...
The story that I will be photoshopped into a story with a model in a bikini (the one I was asked to try on yesterday?), and the pictures will be put into Lip Magazine to illustrate some fiction (fantasy) story.
So all the photos were taken in a standard studio against a plain white or black wall.

It never occured to me to ask what sort of audience Lip Magazine readers are, but wearing a rubber gimp mask has raised my suspicions.
I was also a little concerned with the bright overhead but 1 meter in front spotlight and the side spotlight blaring onto me. Everyone knows for good muscle shots you should have downlight that creates light shadows that highlight muscle definition.
Looking at the pictures on the computer screen confirmed my fears - not only do I look like a gimp mask sexual deviant, I looked like a fat, pale lump of a sexual deviant...

I was assured that post-production would add in details and definition later...
But then I reasoned with my face hidden by the gimp mask and photoshopping the pics there is little chance the average reader would recognise me... and more to the point who cares anyway - easy money for an afternoon shoot. (I'm safe as sexual magazines are illegal in Thailand so I won't end up in anything more raunchy that a teeny boppers magazine)
Secondly by appearing in a Lip Magazine fashion magazine again it just reinforces my ability to get free drinks at Models Night at a variety of hot Bangkok Nightspots.
Magazine is due out 1st Feb. 2007 - I will scan in the pages once they appear in print
UPDATE: Lip Magazine publishes seemingly randomly and it is a huge magazine, I checked for several months but never saw the photos so I have not scanned them.
