Chickenpox, or Chicken F'ing Pox to use some handy Australian punctuation slang, or "The illness of the infants?" as my good Parisian friend Anthony said...

.... so it seems that when my ex-girlfriend accused me of being a big child she was right! A big kid with F'ing Chickenpox.

Though to be honest it is now 7 days I have been concealed away in my room, my one room studio apartment. I have watched about 37 of the latest movies and 6 terribly crap movies that are similarly themed to our next movie. I am bored.

Chickenpox Back                Chickenpox Front

Highly contagious Chickenpox

Yes, I know, I look small in the photos and yes I have lost weight because I have not trained or eaten properly for 3 weeks now.

First week I was away in Australia and 6 flights in 7 days did not leave much time to train as I had a few things I needed to do (I don't fly for fun that's for sure), then the week back took me a couple of days to recover and I did some cardio, I managed a chest workout then I was light headed for a back workout and the next day I did a few sets biceps and triceps to get a pump as my head was slightly dizzy with the weights so I did more cardio, then I did not feel to good so I took another day off. Next thing I have a few red spots...

The red spots transformed into blisters starting on my stomach and a few big lumps on my head (I did not check my back at this stage) so I went to see a Doctor who said it was probably flea or lice bites as I had slept for a few hours on a factory floor several nights before.

Next morning the red spots were all over my head, and blistering and had started on my face too, my chest, abs and back were covered with it, the red spots from yesterday had turned into blisters. I went to see a Skin Specialist, one look and he said Chickenpox, which confirmed what I had came to the conclusion of myself after reading the wikipedia entry on chickenpox.

I am almost certain I was 'immunised' against chickenpox as a small child as it is compulsory for Australian school children. Maybe I wasn't, really I can't remember much from when I was 4 years old.

Worst part about all this is I was supposed to shoot a day in a Thai movie last Sunday but had to cancel as I did not want to make the Star ill (whom I fight with), that would have really screwed their filming schedule and possibly budget. I called in on Friday morning as I left the skin specialist.

Saturday night at 10.30pm I got a call from a different agent asking me to work Sunday morning, happily I had to inform the agent that I was ill and could not work.... happily? Did I say happily? Yes, this meant that they had not been able to find a replacement for me.

Not surprising, Thailand isn't exactly known for producing 7 foot wrestlers.

I dod not hear anything else and thought that they must have cut the scene, until Wednesday afternoon when Roy, the original agent called and said that the producers had asked when I would be better so we could film. Very happy now!

So I still have the movie role, I am also 95% better now, I think tomorrow will be the end then 1 more day just to make sure I do not give Chickenpox to anyone else.

Which is perfect timing as I am supposed to film a TV commercial Monday and Tuesday.

And boy is it good ot be able to get outside again and get some fresh, hot Thai food, oh yeah, and to go to that new Sony TV commercial audition today.... :)
