It's 4am and I can't sleep due to hunger, this is a nightly occurance for me. Tonight I thought I my blog about my food since everyone else does, but at least for me it's different and a little bit more interesting than some blogger blogging about having Cheerios for breakfast:
500g T Bone Steak and EggsI thought my 500g (about 1lb) and 6 egg dinner would allow me to get a full nights sleep for once. But then I thought my 1am six eggs snack would keep me full until morning. * This is my 3rd decent steak in 6 years, it's nice to be working.

Not too much happening this week as I have been visiting the Dentist for multiple root canals. I had broken a couple of teeth recently and needed these repaired as well as a front root canal I had done when I was a kid had developed a rather large abscess making me feel under the weather for quite a while. That was a fun surprise.... |

I'm in China again, and that can only mean one thing - Yes I am filming again - FINALLY!
It's been a long time since I worked in a large part, somewhat surprisingly that was in Chandni Chowk To China, where we were filming, somewhat not unsurprisingly in China for a time.
At the moment I am not sure how much I can reveal about the movie so I won't write too much today, and I'll find out how much I am allowed to reveal tomorrow - but I am sure I can for now say I am working with a Hong Kong legend, if not THE Hong Kong legend in the film industry.
Oh yeah, Nihow is Mandarin (Chinese mainland) for hello and it is bloody cold here, -9C to 2C (15F to 32F)
UPDATE: I am working with some ex-WWE Pro Wrestlers, some of the same guys as were in the Som Tam movie, and the Director is Yuan Woo Ping, the biggest name in Hong Kong stunts.

I'm still here, still alive but not too much happening due to the political situation in Thailand at the moment, for those not watching the current news or reading this in the future there has been an ongoing 92 day sit in at parliment house and the national airports taken over by the P.A.D. wealth backed protestors.
The fallout of this is the country came to the brink of civil war (again) and the national economy has been destroyed as tourism plummets to an all time low, many, many hotels, bars and other tourist based industries will go to the wall in the coming months - it will be a national disaster, bad times are ahead for sure.
But for me personally what does it all mean....

TROUBLE BREWING IN BANGKOK
There is something in the air in Bangkok, people are nervous, tourist high season did not arrive, Police are everywhere and searching many people, Army helicopters can been seen flying over the city regularly.
First off we'll start with the massive lack of tourists and the tourist dollars that drive an official 6% of the Thai Gross Domestic Product - GDP (total earnings for a country). First off 6%? What a complete load of baloney...

"what f'n movies" was my first thought, I have not starred in any movies yet, I have acted in a few, some decent roles but no starring roles (yet). Then I realised that this guy is in a country that will have had the DVD release of maybe 1 movie that I have worked on in Thailand....

My first cover story since Drum Media in Sydney in 1998.
Pretty exciting for me, even though the Australian media dismisses me as a nobody and of little to no interest to the Australian audience as I am not on Australian TV, even though I cannot get an interview or article in Australia and no PR agent wants to represent me, those that I contacted and spoke to were disdainful and some where even somewhat condescending to me, when even some unnamed (you know who you are) management at the Sydney Dance Company outright said I was not of interest to the media....
Here I am Front cover and a 3 page internal story in a magazine that has a 24,000 member distribution....

No, not me.... Dolph Lundgren.
I found a quote a few days ago after watching a 'recent' Dolph Lundgren movie shot in China, called Diamond Dogs, after my own movie experience in China and hearing some behind the scenes information on what happened at the movie set I just had to watch the movie and see how it came out.
Not a particularly inspiring movie, very standard storyline, something I would have loved as a wannabe macho 14 year old boy struggling with hormonal changes and a new identity caused by this. Judging by what I heard the budget to be and the money they would have received from sales of distribution rights my guess is that the movie was a success by the only real measure producers and investors are interested in - financial.
This got me wondering about Dolph Lundgren's early career and how he got into movies in the first place....

Had a few emails recently as my last post was about me being sick - just a quick update for now:
- I got better then promptly drank too much and got sick again :)
- Auditioned for and passed for a Warner Brothers movie
- Shot 1 week already on same Warner Bros movie
- Auditioned for and got A Thai TVC
- Shot the same TVC and got my first partial body burn
- Went to Phuket/Krabi to work on a stun show with Dan O'Neil
- Mangaged to party again, without getting sick this time.
I think that is about it for the last 3 weeks, though I am sure i have done more it eludes e at present.
