I thought it might be prudent to train light today and in a very controlled fashion....

Today is leg workout day, fortunately I used to train with some New Zealand powerlifters (Harry, thanks for calling me a girl so much I had to Squat with you guys to save face) so my quads are strong, so in proper bodybuilding tradition I bring you....

Now if you are new to this site and say they aren't big legs - well I am over 7ft tall which makes my legs huge.  In fact in Thailand the running joke is that my legs are bigger than a womans waist, which we often test - and it is true (well at least for the sort of women we talk to)....

My old training partner Mr Universe Anthony Wingett used to say - if you want to look like Victor Richards then you have to eat like Victor Richards.

Back then Victor Richards was the biggest thing the bodybuilding world had ever seen and he used to eat a truck load. One friend was with him on his tour of Australia and they went to get something to eat. Victor Richards grabbed 10 meat pies as a snack, then he ordered pastries on top. For a meal my friends (IFBB Judges at the time) said he ate 1kg of rice at each sitting and a great slab of meat with it. Now that is a bodybuilding diet

Trap Injury and pain causes slow training progress

Due to either a small muscle tear or a very stubborn muscle knot in my upper back / traps I have been unable to train heavily for the last two weeks due to the sore ness and pain. I am 98% sure that I did this on my recent trip to China when I carried 50kg of product back with me. 

Now my upper back and traps are sore and it is pain ful to turn my head quickly.

This is why I never help people move house.

Today I train Chest and Shoulders. But first some theory

Right, I feel good. Finally after a good talk with my mate Hilly we have decided to get back to basics, back to what made us big in the first place.

Heavy, heavy weights, low reps. Easy.

Now in the second week of this training my body is hurting like it never did with the 15 sets of 15 reps pumper work out, or any other combo training I have done for a long time.
