Just had a run in with some low life Thai men wannabe gangsters. F***tards.
A friend clipped a motorcycle knocking it over while parking, it hit another motrocycle on the way over with minor damage.
My friend was willing to organise insurance and was willing to pay a little money to keep everyone happy, but low life scumbag Thai criminals decided that they wanted a payout approaching 1/3 the cost of a new motorcycle when damage was 2 paint scratches combined smaller than your little finger nail and 1 scratch to a decal (sticker) - total repair cost here maybe $40, maybe.
Failing to get agreement on this low life scumbag Thai criminal #1 decided to threated a retired gentleman, his wife and her sister and teh 4 year old child that he was going to kill them all - screaming and loosing his cool.
Low life scumbag Thai criminal #2 then pulled a stanley knife out...
That's when I got the call to come down
By the time I got downstairs the knife had been put away but I was itching for these F's to start something - even though it would lead to later complications (probably an orchestrated late night ambush as their preferred tactic)
Real men threatening a man of retirement age, two women no taller than 4'10" and thier 4 year old daughter.
F'ing tone changed when I walked and stood right over them making bad jokes in my broken Thai, including telling the ringleader he was speaking like a complete retard (not as eloquently though).
He was not impressed with me and in fact refused to acknowledge that I existed beyond modifying his behaviour.
The anger diffused the Police were called to the scene but did not arrive.
After an hour and 6 calls to the Police station they went to the station (the Thai wannabe criminals would not go, which is why the Police were asked to come to the scene). The fact that death threats from a screaming low life did nothing to get them in faster.
Anyway when my older friend and hte women and child arrived at the Police station the desk sergeant said that the Police had already been to the scene and there was nothing to report. Incompetance, miscommunication or laziness?
I would have thought a low class criminal type threatening women and children would have been some sort of priority.
Upshot is my friend paid $60 on top of the insurance money to keep the guy 'happy', the Police that turned up were chatting friendly with this looser and left together. Lovely, life in a 3rd world country can be ridiculous.
Let's see what happens next.
