This week we start fight rehearsals and choreography for Bangkok Adrenaline (the movie I am script writer for).

THE BEST foreign fighters in Asia are in our movie so this is going ot be one hell of an action packed 90 minutes....

So now I have to work on several fight scenes with Ron Smoorenburg, the stunt/fight director, so he can take these to Eric (the Director) and get the camera angles, shots, lighting, spacing, etc sorted out so he can give a report to the Producers on what exactly is needed in terms of materials and people for each scene.

The main fights I have in the movie are:

  1.  Against two guys in an illegal betting ring
  2. 10 bodyguards - Thai stunt team
  3. A horde of short 1 and 2 man fights against security guards (Thai stunt team)
  4. 2 large foreign bodyguards

This is the first time I have ever had the chance to do my own fight scenes and moves and to act out the character I would like to do for this movie. Freedom to portray myself in the best light (except that my character is stupid/comic relief)

Dan and Gwion practise as Lex, Eric (Director), Ron (Stunt Director), Ray and Kaew (Producers) talk shop

Things are progressing well now, I will put up some videos and photos of some of the action to expect from our final days of practise this week.

 Bangkok Adrenaline "Fight School"

Situated in an old Pre-school with triple play tiny toilets we will be practising everyday and working on move combinations that are set to blow the audiences mind with the skill and precision never before seen in a martial arts (action/comedy) movie.

Who would have guessed that months ago this was all pie in the sky and now we are running full steam ahead for shooting on 1st Feb 2007 and then full on no time wasting post production as we have a perfect window for Cinema release in September.

Less than 1 year from inception to showing in Cinema - that would have to be a world first.
