We filmed this TVC in Thailand, at a Muay Thai Boxing stadium, it was a long day but the resulting TVC looks great.
This is the first role I have had as this kind of fantasy character (fantasy as in movie genre, not bedroom) and I felt more than comfortable - I look forward to the day that I can film in a movie with a similar character.
The initial casting call was for someone who looked like a pro-wrestler, how easy is that? I am the only pro-wrestler in SE Asia - this job is mine.
I turned up to the acting audition in my old wrestling costume -

I was 1/2 way through the actor audition / casting and they called up and cancelled all the other guys coming in, why waste everyones time?
Then typical rubbish happens. My acting agent tried to pay me a ridiculously low amount of money to do the filming. In Thailand your acting agent usually works against you, not with you, not for you, they work against you - pocketing the extra money themselves from your acting contract or selling you cheap as possible to guarantee that you get the job because you are cheapest. I have heard from a reliable source, and I am not surprised , that the acting agent can at times pocket 90%+ of the budget that the actor is supposed to be paid - though it is very hard to substantiate this rumour I do not doubt it at all.
The acting agents have no idea how to upsell their product (us, the talent)
I have been training my acting agents and some of them are starting to see the benefit of charging more money (ie more commission for them), while some others just consider me a trouble making foreigner.
UPDATE: Even better is when you start getting calls direct and can bypass the actor agents which is the ultimate goal here, whereas if they were more like western acting agents then we would keep them in the loop as you work together.
